About ediONLINE

Our Goal

ediONLINE is the Yang-Tan Institute's vehicle for providing high quality online learning experiences to managers, practitioners, advocates and policy makers in the disability field in order to improve and enhance effectiveness in supporting employment outcomes and greater economic self-sufficiency for people with disabilities. These courses bridge the gap between policy and practice by providing you with practical applications, hands-on learning, leading-edge skills, and knowledge that you can immediately apply to your work.

Our Format

Our courses are offered in web seminar format. Web seminars provide an online interactive format coupled with audio-conferencing. Special features include lectures, interactive questions and answers, interactive chat using instant messaging technology and polling, as well as print and electronic course materials.

Technology Requirements

Participants must have capacity for simultaneous phone and internet connection. A Windows or Mac operating system can be used with any current Internet browser.

The Benefits

You will learn from some of the country's premiere experts in providing employment supports and advocacy services in the comfort of your own office or home. You will be connected to a virtual classroom with other leaders in the disability field and have opportunities before and during the course for interaction. Courses are provided online and lectures are delivered using audio-conferencing as well as real-time transcription. All courses will be archived and available to registered participants for a period of one year following the event.

Earn a Cornell Certificate

Cornell ILR offers a comprehensive array of certificates for professionals serving the workplace. The ILR School has over 25 certificate programs available, six of which are showcased in the ediONLINE Series. A Cornell certificate provides you with in-depth expertise in a chosen area, can improve job performance, and equip you to advance in your field. Each certificate curriculum includes required course work that spans the depth of contemporary knowledge. ediONLINE certificates are available in the following areas: Work Incentives Planning and Utilization For Benefit Practitioners Certificate Series; Introduction to Citizen Centered Leadership Development; and, Introduction to Research and Promising Practices in Secondary Transition. To earn your certificate, you must actively participate in the required courses and complete all pre-work, assignments, and evaluations. Individuals who complete all three of the underlined certificates above are eligible for the Cornell University Certificate in Benefits and Work Incentives Planning and Assistance.

Earn CRCC Recertification Credits

All ediONLINE Certificate Series can be applied toward your Rehabilitation Counselor re-certification with CRCC. Please see individual certificate series descriptions for more information. All individuals applying for CRCC recertification credits will be required to complete an online evaluation at the conclusion of the program. Name, CRCC license number and contact information will be required.

Online Evaluation

Individuals registered for coursework will be asked to complete an online evaluation at the conclusion of the program.

Take Individual Courses or Customize Your Learning

Courses in this catalog can be purchased individually, in a set to complete a certificate series, or in clusters to meet individual or organizational goals. Pricing is provided on page 26.
